YOUNG GIMMICKS-the true story
If you ask me when it all began,well,it was on the 24th of February 2001.There were 24 students willing to either act or play...In time,14 of them were to stay.And this is their story.They called themselves Y.G. and from then on...
They never lived at home any more...Maybe it was the road between "here" and "there"...You might still find them if u go looking.There presence is till felt in the Festive Hall or in the Theatre.They could have been crazy and wise and mad and childish and looking for trouble.But they all wanted to do something to last.
At first,they dreamt something and made a story out of it.There were voices to speak to sing and dance...There were hand that talked and shaped...Not everyone knows how to give shape to mass, color to substance,music to ideas and words to feeling.But they all changed understanding what they had to do.They got to know each other by means of their characters in the play.Dissimulating,trying to be someone else on the stage,they revealed, in fact, their real self.And they remained friends...
Everybody said the play was to difficult.It was, but that was the very reason they loved it.They said "YES" to a month of madness,plenty of hours of hard work...But they were young, and beautiful in their youth and restless and eager to accept challenging things.
And even if the "tired" audience understood to little from their life on the stage, they know they are winners.
This theatre experience brought them new an priceless things: the power to let one's feelings show, the ability to see the kernel of things beyound the appearance, the strenght to be oneself without fear, the isdom of bitterly smiling at the others narrowness.They are defenitely new and better persons and they owe this to the theatre, to "WINTERSET", to Costin Gavaza.They traveled to...
America-the period between the 2 world wars.Cold.Tennements under a bridge.Poverty forcing everyone to fight for survival.Crime-a day-to-day reality.The search for truth-his only reason to live.One way roads, populated with people that might know something, lead him to the very truth.But God's are too ironic at Winterset:he, Mio, meets her, Miriamne, and their love must overcome lies and treason.Can eternity be caught in a single moment?

LUMINA
Am vrea, sau cel putin eu as vrea sa-i multumesc celui care ne-a adus magia in sufletele noastre. Celui care a impartit lumina, celui fara de care nimik nu ar fi fost posibil.Persoana asta este Costin Gavaza; lui ii datoram totul, si chiar daca nu si-a dat seama(stiu eu ca el stie), noi il iubim.Posibil ar fi ca nu multi din aceasta trupa sa simta aceleasi lucruri pe care le simt eu insa am vrut sa stie ca nu vom mai fi niciodata la fel, dupa cum a zis si el.Este o persoana pe care nu poate fi cineva suparat si pe care e imposibil sa nu-l iubesti si ca fata si ca baiat!
Nu ne-a dat o definitie exacta a teatrului in afara de :"teatrul este o exemplificare a vietii", dar noi stim deja ce este insa nu putem sa-l definim.Poate cineva?
Am vrut doar sa spun tare ca el ne-a adus lumina!
